Train your short term memory and preserve your mental fitness! Mnemonia helps you to expand the memory span for sequences of digits, tones and colors. A daily training can improve your memory performance and sustain your mental fitness no matter how old you are.
Description
Mnemonia is a memory game which is aimed at memorizing a maximum of successive digits, colors and/or tones. If a sequence has been memorized correctly, a new element (digit, color, tone) is attached to the sequence in the next trial. Furthermore, the elements are presented faster in each new trial. A game starts by clicking on 'play' in the menu. A game is over if the sequence has not been memorized correctly.

Settings
You can choose between different game options by clicking on 'options' in the menu. If you choose the mode 'digits', the nine playing fields display nine different digits, if you choose 'colors' they display nine different colors. If you choose 'color and digits' the playing fields vary both in color and digit. This option is easiest to memorize. Therefore, the score per trial is lowest in this mode. The mode 'color' is most difficult to memorize and therefore scores highest. You can also choose different lengths of the first presented sequence. The levels 'easy', 'medium' and 'high' correspond to starting sequences of three, five respectively seven successive elements. Finally you can choose whether different tones are presented with each field or not. Additionally presented tones can also facilitate memorizing. Therefore, the players choices for 'level' and 'tone' also affect the score per trial.
Clicking the button 'highscore' in the menu leads to a list of the 10 highest overall scores. If the score at the end of a game is among the ten highest scores that have been achieved, the name of the player can be entered in the highscore list. The list can be deleted by choosing 'options' -> 'delete highscore'.
